How GitShorts selects, researches, writes, attributes, and corrects its technology reporting.
Last updated September 17, 2026
GitShorts covers timely, material developments in artificial intelligence, machine learning, open-source software, developer tools, frameworks, research, and related technology. Recency, technical significance, reader impact, and source quality guide selection.
02
How we research stories
Research begins with identifiable evidence such as an official repository or release, project documentation, a research paper, or a company announcement. Key claims in a GitShorts article must be supported by the source material retained with that story.
03
Primary-source and attribution policy
Each published article exposes at least one primary-source name and working source link. GitShorts is identified separately as publisher, and GitShorts Editorial Team as author. We do not describe a researched repository or organization as the publisher of a GitShorts-written article.
04
Writing and editing process
GitShorts turns researched evidence into an original full article and a concise feed version. Articles aim to separate sourced facts from GitShorts context, especially in the “Why it matters” section, and avoid copying substantial source text.
GitShorts may use automated and AI-assisted tools during research, drafting, summarization, categorization, and image selection. Articles are produced from identified source material and retain source attribution. Automated checks block incomplete or known failed-generation content; not every story is manually reviewed by a person.
06
Corrections and updates
Material corrections update the article’s modified date. To report an error, email hello@gitshorts.com with the permanent GitShorts article URL, the disputed detail, and supporting evidence.
07
Conflicts, sponsorship, and editorial contact
Sponsored or paid placement, if introduced, will be clearly labelled and will not be presented as independent reporting. Editorial questions, source concerns, and correction requests can be sent to hello@gitshorts.com.
